About us

About Us:

Our ministry started in 1987 as a result of one family's relocation from Decatur, Illinois, to Waukegan, Illinois. After relocating, this family was unable to find a church that met their spiritual needs or had the kind of fellowship they were accustomed to. They were challenged by their former pastor to start a Bible Study Fellowship.

In October of 1987, this fellowship began which led to the beginning of WBBC. The ministry started in one of the member's garage. Thanks to the generous offer of Kevin Krass, WBBC later moved its services to the Christian Education building of Bonnie Brook Baptist Church.

In August, 1994, we purchased our first church building in Beach Park and in November of 2001, God blessed us with the purchase of our present facility at 1500 Sunset Avenue. We have great expectations of what God will do through His ministry here at Waukegan Baptist Bible Church!
